| Resort-Pertisau is a high level (940 metres) ski resort in the Austrian Tyrol, about 40 mins. Drive from Innsbruck. Situated at the end of a road on the shore of Lake Achinsee. With no through traffic the town is very quiet and the scenery is spectacular.
Travel-We flew with Lufthansa from Manchester to Munich, then took the S Bahn train to Munchen Ost and a direct train to Jenbach. The Hotel picked us up at Jenbach for a 15 minute transfer up the valley. Hotel-Stayed at 4* Hotel wiesenhof which we booked direct. I cannot praise this Hotel enough. Although quite large the atmosphere is extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We booked a winter package which comprised full board with an XXL room, daily activity package plus a free horse drawn sleigh ride and a free milk and honey bath. The Hotel looks like it was refurbished yesterday. All the rooms are large and the leisure area is state of the art with a small indoor swimming pool, Saunas, steam rooms, treatment areas and baths along with a number of relaxation areas. Activities - Pertisau is mainly a cross country resort with lots of, well maintained, cut loipers. There are two good runs up valleys direct from the resort with good lunch or drink stops. Recommend Senn Hutte up the blue Loiper for good food in a traditional Austrian mountain hut. Costings |
